About FM WATER test kits

Fast and easy water in diesel checks with our detector kits.

Tests can be used by anyone with no technical knowledge.

Standard kit is 100 test vials packaged in storage box with hinged lid.

Best use by date is 12 months at least when we ship out. Kits can be used normally past this date if detector has not changed color.

How to use test kits

Step 1 – Place 100 to 200 ml / 3.5 to 7 oz fuel sample into a clear, clean & dry plastic cup or bottle.

Step 2 – Remove cap from vial, pour detector agent into fuel sample, shake / stir detector in sample for 10 seconds.

Step 3 – Rest sample vessel for 30 minutes.

Step 4 – View from the bottom of your sample vessel.

Pink / red spots visible indicate a positive (fail) result test & water is detected.

Water will indicate @ 200 ppm (parts per million) & higher levels which is a positive (fail) result.

No spots visible in your sample indicates a your fuel has passed testing and contains zero or very low levels of water.

Notes

You may see water indication from 5 minutes of resting thus concluding the test is a positive (fail) result for excessive levels of water.
